About The Position

As a Drayage Driver, you will transport freight containers, perform drop-and-hook movements between ports, and assist in the warehouse when needed. Why Article? Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old with a valid CDL A driver’s license, and have a clean driving record
Legally able to work in the US
Pass a pre-employment substance abuse screening, background check, DOT physical, and pre-employment DOT Drug Screen.
Must have a TWIC card
Must be physically fit and able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
3+ years of CDL A driving experience
Climb/step up into a truck cab
Stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
Knowledge of DOT Regulations (Hours of Service)

Responsibilities

Haul freight containers secured to chassis but may haul dry van trailers.
Drop and hook container movements .
Daily scheduled routes.
Minimum 40 hour work week.
Warehouse work as needed (This is important).
Follow DOT regulations and safety standards.
Provide professional and friendly customer engagement and communication.
Safely transport containers with our furniture to our warehouse.
Reliable, flexible schedule, and have the ability to meet the demands of the business with a positive attitude.
Ability to work independently or with little supervision.
