About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of driving regulations, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to operate different types of waste disposal trucks. The Truck Driver will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety. The driver will operate a collection vehicle on assigned routes to safely collect and transport residential and commercial waste to designated disposal facilities. This role requires adherence to company safety policies, DOT regulations, and excellent customer service while servicing customers along assigned routes.

Requirements

  • Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with air brake endorsement.
  • Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check, DOT physical, and drug screening.
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe vehicle operation.
  • Ability to work early mornings, weekends, or overtime as needed.
  • Strong attention to safety and detail.
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull containers weighing up to 50+ pounds.
  • Frequent climbing on and off the truck throughout the shift.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating heavy commercial vehicles preferred (waste collection experience is a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a garbage or refuse collection truck along assigned routes.
  • Collect residential and commercial waste and transport materials to designated landfill or transfer stations.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is operating safely and efficiently.
  • Operate hydraulic controls to lift waste containers, compact refuse, and unload materials at disposal sites.
  • Maintain compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate route logs, vehicle condition reports, and service documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with dispatch, supervisors, and customers.
  • Clean up waste spills and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Report mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
  • Follow scheduled routes and complete all assigned pickups in a timely manner.
