About The Position

Position Purpose: Position is responsible for visual inspection of parts and preparation of parts for aging or shipping as they exit the solution furnace . Essential Functions: 100% visual Inspection of parts going into an ager basket or shipping box; Follow work instructions on inspecting parts; Maintain media, soap, and part washer levels by visual inspection and add when needed; Understand proper levels of media and soap in equipment and troubleshoot issues as they arise; Identify defects/non-conforming marks in the forged parts; Complete appropriate paperwork such as shop orders, daily checklists, routing sign offs, etc; Understand proper loading of baskets or shipping boxes; Identify parts for scrap or re-polish; Identify the different parts, alloys, and areas for scrap; Maintain daily timekeeping and job orders on computer system; Understands operation of cell; Notify Supervisor and cell employees on any quality issues that arise on the parts produced through the cell; Actively participate in efforts to establish and promote a safe and healthy work environment. Follow policies, programs, and procedures for the reduction and elimination of work-related accidents and provide quality feedback to promote safer work behaviors and conditions. Education and Training: High School Diploma or GED; No experience necessary

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to use snap gauges, wire cutters, pencil, and calculator
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow instructions
  • Ability to work under pressure and adhere to schedules
  • Ability to work safely and keep area clean
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work assigned shift and remain awake and alert during assigned shift is required
  • Reporting to work for assigned shift, maintaining a physical presence and performing assigned work for the duration of assigned shift is required
  • Good verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills
  • Able to communicate clearly, concisely and achieve intended objectives
  • Ability to work in a variety of environments which may include exposure to extreme heat, humidity, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, loud noise, and all weather conditions.
