Position type: Hourly Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals is hiring a centerless grind operator for our 2nd shift operation. The CG Operator sets up and operates centerless grinding machines, observing grinding operations, ensuring proper measurement; detecting malfunctions and possess the ability to troubleshoot processes and adjust controls.
Requirements
- 1 or more years manufacturing experience
- Experience with measuring instruments (micrometers, comparators, gauges)
- Mechanical aptitude
- Mathematical skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous grinding experience - plus
Responsibilities
- Able to adjust work guides, grinding blades to achieve a round part for finish operations
- Able to straighten parts by hand or use of hydraulic press in preparation of grinding
- Capable of adjusting machine operating parameters to maintain tight tolerance and part finishes
- Able to replace the regulating wheel or grinding wheel as needed
- Dress both regulating and grinding wheel per instructions
