About The Position

As our CS Dist Tech, you will be a professional assuming responsibility and accountability for your contribution toward the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care for patients and their families. Every day you will perform a wide variety of technical and manual tasks in the Central Service Department, under the direction of the Central Service Manager. To be successful in this role, you will consistently align your actions with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health, ensuring effective support for patient care and departmental operations. Ensures a professional and responsive atmosphere by greeting patients, visitors, staff, and physicians promptly and courteously. Refers to each individual by name when appropriate. Screens individuals by requesting to see identification or visitor pass. Operates, cleans and maintains storage areas and equipment Collects, receives, sorts, cleans, decontaminates and issues equipment to user departments Picks supplies for user departments as directed. Properly rotates medical supplies, checks for physical damage, dust, moisture and expiration dates on all medical supplies and devices. Handles all supplies using aseptic or sterile technique Routinely performs assigned duties on assembling procedure carts correctly by checking par-levels, replenishing stock, issuing, distribution of IV solutions, disposable procedure trays and other medical supplies which reside in clinical areas of the Facility

Requirements

  • High School Graduate General Studies and One year of storeroom or shipping experience or CSR distribution experience required;, upon hire or High School GED General Studies and One year of storeroom or shipping experience or CSR distribution experience required;, upon hire and however, the experience requirement is waived for individuals who have completed a Central Services Technician (CST) externship at Sequoia Hospital.
