The Central Texas Drinking Water Market Sector Leader is a key role within HDR’s growing Water Business Group. This is an exciting opportunity to join our industry leading 100%25 employee-owned firm in an influential leadership role. Drinking Water Market Sector Lead (MSL) is a professional passionate about protecting public health and well-versed in the “One Water” concept and the inherent synergies among the drinking water, wastewater, recycled water, and stormwater markets. We are looking for someone who will work collaboratively with local and national leadership to set the vision and strategy to expand and provide research, planning, design, and engineering services to drinking water agencies, related clients in other sectors, and relevant research organizations. The Central Texas Drinking Water MSL will report to the Area Water Business Group (WBG) Manager and partner with our Area Business Development Manager, Professional Services Lead, Project Delivery Lead, Client Managers, Project Managers, Business Class Leads, and technical staff to support Drinking Water MS business development and project delivery in the area. The Drinking Water MSL will also be expected to engage with regional and national Drinking Water Market Sector Directors to align with strategic priorities and establish initiatives. In the role of Area Drinking Water Market Sector Leader, we'll count on you to: Partner with the South Central WBG Business Development Manager and Regional DW Market Sector Leader for DW Market Sector activities such as planning and strategizing for growth Drinking Water Growth and Strategy in Central Texas - Develop and drive a long-range Drinking Water mission, vision and strategy for HDR’s CTX area Lead HDR’s Drinking Water branding in Central Texas by engaging in professional organizations allied to the drinking Water market Collaborating with other technical and marketing staff in the pursuit of new projects, taking a leadership role in selected key pursuits Support the development of and provide reviews of scopes of work, fee estimate, project risk identification and project schedules. Work as part of the Central Texas WBG leadership team to coordinate staffing/recruiting plans for key hires and assist leadership as necessary with technical or project management hires. Work as part of the Central Texas leadership team to develop and implement Water Business Group-wide initiatives Identify technical gaps and support talent management and recruiting. Identity, develop and implement Drinking Water initiatives to Central Texas Area marketplace Participate in industry associations and serve as a company role-model in business and community organizations. Develop relationships with industry counterparts in other consulting organizations Client Management Activities In alignment and in support of our Client Managers, promote the Drinking Water market Be involved in marketing planning, proposals and interviews for Drinking Water projects Serve as the Client Manager for selected key clients Project Delivery - Function as a project manager on large or key projects Assist with contract review on key projects to help ensure risk management, proper staffing, quality reviews and resolution of claims. Other duties as assigned.
