BJC is offering a Centralized Monitor Tech I Students Cohort! This is a paid 10-week accelerated training program which combines classroom instruction, hands-on skill labs and on-the-job training in a clinical practice. Program Highlights: Advanced Accelerated Cohort Program Learning – paid to be a student cohort & to successfully complete to move into your full-time role Cohort Duration: 10 weeks (Mon–Fri) Start Date: April 20, 2026 Hours: 36 hours per week (in-person) Day shift (7a-7p) or Night shift (7p-7a) Cohort Program Locations: St. Louis Community College (STLCC) & BJC Commons, St. Louis, MO (required attendance at both locations) Compensation: $17.75/hour Cohort Attendance Policy: In-person attendance required for the entire duration; no absences allowed. – no program breaks for the 10 week session Homework & Study Expectations: Estimated study & homework time per night 2 hours per night 4+ hours of weekly online coursework Post Cohort Program Requirement - After successful completion of program immediately placed into Full-Time Centralized Monitor Technician I position @ BJC The Commons Benefits Eligible (www.bjctotalrewards.org) Overview Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is the largest hospital in Missouri and is ranked as one of the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. Centralized Telemetry, a department in which trained monitor technicians observe and analyze various heart rhythms of patients who are admitted to the Centralized Telemetry Monitoring system. Technicians monitor patients within BJH North and South, as well as, BJ West County. Constant communication with nursing staff regarding changes in rhythm status is key to patient care. Technicians will call CODES if lethal rhythms are detected for patient safety and positive outcome of patient condition
