Requirements

  • Graduate of a CAAHEP-accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant program
  • Master of Science in Anesthesiology or equivalent degree
  • Current certification or recertification as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) through NCCAA
  • ACLS (AHA)
  • PALS (AHA)
  • Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA)
  • Reliable transportation with the ability to travel to multiple client sites (rarely more than one per day)

Nice To Haves

  • 2–5 years of clinical experience in a high-acuity hospital, specialty hospital, or academic medical center
  • Passion for patient-centered care in an outpatient setting

Responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive preoperative assessments and developing individualized anesthesia plans of care
  • Coordinating with anesthesiologists, nursing staff, and other healthcare providers to ensure safe, efficient care delivery
  • Initiating and managing anesthetic techniques under anesthesiologist supervision
  • Administering anesthetic agents and adjunctive medications to maintain physiologic stability
  • Continuously monitoring patients intraoperatively and responding to physiological changes
  • Managing emergence from anesthesia and supporting patient recovery
