About The Position

Sodexo Seniors is seeking a dynamic individual for the role of Certified Dietary Manager at Hollenbeck Palms in Los Angeles, CA. We are seeking a talented individual who will commit to the challenges of creating and delivering a culinary-driven, upscale experience within a thoughtfully senior living facility. Hollenbeck Palms is a premier Continuing Care Retirement Community located in Los Angeles, offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and Skilled Nursing. We recently opened our new Latitude Bistro, a modern and hospitality-forward dining experience that brings fresh, elevated, and resident-centered service to our community. The CDM will support dining services for our 59-bed Skilled Nursing and 24-bed Memory Care community. This role partners closely with our full-time Registered Dietitian to ensure safe, compliant, and resident-centered dining operations that support clinical nutrition needs while delivering an exceptional dining experience. Spanish language skills are helpful and valued in supporting team communication.

Requirements

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) credential required; Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR) or Dietary Services Supervisor (DSS) candidates will be considered.
  • ServSafe Manager Certification (or ability to obtain).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a Long-Term Care or Skilled Nursing Facility.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic diets and healthcare dining operations.
  • Strong understanding of food safety and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Minimum Education Requirement - High School Diploma or GED or Equivalent
  • Minimum Management Experience - 1 year

Nice To Haves

  • Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Spanish language skills are helpful and valued in supporting team communication.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily dietary operations within Skilled Nursing and Memory Care.
  • Ensure therapeutic diets and physician diet orders are accurately followed.
  • Collaborate with the Registered Dietitian, nursing, and interdisciplinary team.
  • Maintain compliance with CMS, Title 22, and food safety regulations.
  • Supervise meal service quality, sanitation, and resident satisfaction.
  • Support survey readiness and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to dietary team members.
  • Participate in care conferences and provide input on meal intake, weight trends, and resident preferences impacting nutritional status.
  • Report concerns such as poor intake, weight changes, or swallowing issues to the Registered Dietitian and nursing, contributing operational insight that supports clinical care planning.
