About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide high-quality clinical and administrative support in an ambulatory/office-based healthcare setting. The CMA will work under the supervision of a licensed medical practitioner or professional nurse to ensure efficient patient flow, accurate documentation, and excellent patient care.

Requirements

  • Accurate vital sign collection
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and data entry
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Required: Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
  • Required: AHA BLS Certification
  • One of the following active certifications: CMA (NHA, NCCT, AAMA) RMA (AMT, NAHP) AMCA NCMA

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred: 1–2 years of experience in an ambulatory or office-based setting
  • Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program

Responsibilities

  • Prepare examination and treatment rooms, supplies, and medical instruments
  • Prepare patients for provider visits and assist during examinations
  • Measure and document vital signs in the electronic medical record (EMR)
  • Perform diagnostic and screening procedures, including EKG, PFT, audiometry, and Titmus testing (upon competency validation)
  • Conduct phlebotomy, urine drug screening (UDS), blood alcohol testing (BAT), and other laboratory testing as required
  • Obtain and document patient medical histories
  • Assist with procedures, treatments, and minor in-office surgeries
  • Maintain and organize medical records, charts, and reports
  • Perform EMR data entry and office system documentation
  • Schedule appointments and enter patient demographic and financial information
  • Support billing and collections activities as needed
  • Manage inventory and perform routine equipment checks and maintenance
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory standards
  • Provide patient education related to preventive care and health maintenance
