Idaho Falls Pediatrics is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant, CNA, or EMT to provide an excellent patient experience by assisting the provider in a variety of tasks related to the day-to-day operation of the clinic. This position will assess, plan, and provide care under the supervision of a medical provider. They will examine and treat patients to ensure proper care, development, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. Patient Care. Prepare examination and treatment rooms with necessary instruments. Take patient histories and vital signs. Screen and direct patient calls to appropriate staff. Administer vaccinations. Perform patient blood-draws. Maintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA). Clerical. Provide accurate and timely documentation to staff, insurance carriers and clinic leadership. Correspondence by phone, in person, or in writing with regard to patient care, i.e. insurance carriers, physicians, non-clinic physicians. Maintain patient records for clinical use, medical records use, billing use, physicians’ review, etc. Document patient files, records, forms, and other info. Maintain clinical and office supplies and equipment. Complete opening and closing procedures. Be sure work area appears neat, well stocked, and organized. Other Duties Maintain disposable and non-disposable supplies, i.e. wound care supplies, laundry, etc. Provide general information of department policies and procedures. Attend required meetings, re-certifications, and participate in committees as requested. Maintain clean, professional working/treatment area. Accept and assume responsibility for special projects as they arise. Ensure a superior patient experience, by embracing the company mission and values, and treating all with compassion and respect.
