Requirements

Completion of an accredited Medical Assisting program required.
Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA, AAMA) or equivalent national credential (e.g., RMA) preferred; willingness to obtain and maintain certification according to credentialing body requirements.
Prior medical assistant experience in an orthopedic, sports medicine, or specialty clinic setting is preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to provide compassionate, patient-focused service in a team environment.
Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records systems.

Responsibilities

Assist physicians and healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
Prepare examination rooms and ensure all necessary supplies and equipment are ready
Take and record patient vital signs, medical histories, and other relevant information
Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
Ensure cleanliness and sterilization of clinical areas and equipment
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow
