Certified Medical Assistant - Out Patient Transplant - Full Time - Days
About The Position
Make a lasting first impression on a NewYork-Presbyterian transplant unit, meeting and greeting patients and family members in need of a compassionate ear and calm direction. Light up the room with your presence. Make the promise of Putting Patients First a reality at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Provide compassionate patient focus and superior customer service -keeping our fast-paced environments running smoothly. Coordinate appointments and perform general clerical duties at the unit nursing station to assure the timely, efficient and accurate flow of patient information. Assist practitioners and Management by performing blood draws and taking vital signs of patients in clinic. Welcome and direct visitors and hospital colleagues to appropriate areas. Cultivate a courteous and respectful demeanor while multitasking between people and responsibilities. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 9:30 am to 5:30 pm. Location is our Columbia campus in Upper Manhattan/Washington Heights.
Requirements
- Graduate of a State and/or Nationally accredited Medical Associate Program with certification as a Medical Assistant
- High School Diploma or GED
- all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
- NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
