About The Position
The CNA provides hands-on patient and resident care, including hygiene and daily living support, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Responsibilities follow NYS Practice Act, hospital policies, and NY Long Term Care Regulations. CNAs also assist with basic unit support tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current NYS CNA certification
- Ability to read/write medical terminology
- Successful pre-employment screening & physical
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities
- Support patient/resident mobility, comfort, and safety
- Document care per facility standards
- Assist nursing staff with routine non‑clinical tasks
