About The Position

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients in various healthcare settings. Requirements

  • Valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Mississippi.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and patient care practices.
  • Strong communication abilities
  • Attention to detail
  • Compassion and empathy
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform lifting as needed.
  • Ability to lift and turn residents as required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, particularly in long-term care or rehabilitation.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Additional training in specialized areas such as dementia care or palliative care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
  • Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
  • Help patients with mobility, including transferring them to and from beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, fostering a positive environment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients, adhering to infection control protocols.
