About The Position

Cascades at Galveston is a fantastic skilled nursing facility located in Galveston, TX. We are expanding our CNA team and we are excited that you've considered us. We are currently hiring full-time CNAs to join our amazing team for Night Shift (10PM-6AM) 4-on, 2-off. In addition, our CNAs can participate in our Nursing Tuition Reimbursement Program, and get $500/month applied towards an LVN or RN degree.

Requirements

Current Texas CNA certification license in good standing
Effective communication skills
Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws/regulations in regards to long-term care

Responsibilities

Answer residents' call lights to determine needs
Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed
Provide physical support to assist residents in performing daily living activities such as getting in/out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, or exercising
Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive appropriate diet
Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary
Reporting changes in resident condition to nursing staff and develop relationships with residents to ensure their stay is comfortable
