About The Position

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide direct patient care in a long-term care facility . The CNA will assist residents with daily living activities, monitor their condition, and support nursing staff in delivering high-quality care. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about caring for geriatric patients and maintaining a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent .
  • Completion of a state-approved Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program .
  • Active CNA certification and state registry.
  • BLS or CPR certification (preferred or required depending on facility).
  • Ability to safely lift, transfer, and reposition residents .

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in a long-term care facility, skilled nursing facility (SNF), or nursing home .
  • Experience working with geriatric or elderly patients .
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR/EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
  • Take and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
  • Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and repositioning to prevent pressure ulcers.
  • Provide perineal care, oral hygiene, and skin care to maintain comfort and cleanliness.
  • Observe and report changes in residents’ physical or emotional condition to nursing staff.
  • Assist with meal service and feeding for residents requiring assistance.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities in accordance with facility policies.
  • Ensure resident rooms and common areas are clean, organized, and safe .
  • Provide emotional support and companionship while promoting dignity and respect.
  • Follow infection control policies and safety protocols at all times.
