About The Position
PURPOSE STATEMENT: Provide professional level nursing care to patients under supervision of the medical and clinical staff.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent and completed CNA Certification
- CPR/CPI (provided by facility)
- NC Driver’s License with Acceptable driving record
- Must be 21 years of age based on company policy
- Ability to work with male and female, adult (18-over) substance abuse/dually diagnosed population.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge/experience working with chemically dependent patients preferred.
- Knowledge of 12-Step programs.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional level nursing care to patients under supervision of the medical and clinical staff.
- This position requires a thorough understanding of facility’s treatment program and philosophy, admission process, and criteria, working knowledge of various aspects of alcoholism, drug abuse, and dual diagnosis.
- This individual is a member of the mental health team providing professional level nursing care to patients under minimal supervision and consultation.
- Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.
