In your role as a Patient Care Assistant in Outpatient Observation at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center, you will help provide basic nursing assistance to patients. Our Outpatient Observation team oversees about 50% of patients from the ER who are not quite ready to return home, but do not need to be inpatient. This team is fast paced, quick patient turnover, and is a great steppingstone for those who would like to gain experience to allow for growth into the ED, PCU, and other acute areas of the hospital. Duties can vary from vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse rate, respiration rate), assisting with patient hygiene and movement, and generally monitoring the patient and providing updates to clinical staff. Part-Time Night Shifts Available (2-12 hour shifts from 6:00pm-6:30am) There are no set days you can be scheduled each week You can utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Weekend and Holiday Rotations are required in this role.
