Organization: TVC Oncology Pharmacy Coordinator Job Summary: Performs tasks within The Vanderbilt Clinic Oncology Pharmacy in direct support of the ongoing duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist with occasional guidance. Tasks performed contribute directly to the preparation and/or dispensing of a final dosage form for administration to a patient and are directly supervised by a pharmacist. Provides customer service by answering phone requests and triaging calls to the appropriate person if they cannot answer the requested information. Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control. . The Vanderbilt Clinic Oncology Pharmacy is hiring a Certified Pharmacy Technician! Position Highlights IV focused position. This position consists of primarily sterile compounding of chemotherapy regimens. (4) 10-hour shifts between Monday - Friday with hours of 9:30am - 8:00pm. Every 11th weekend both Saturday and Sunday with hours of 6:30am - 5:00pm. Rotating holidays with hours of 6:30am - 5:00pm. Typically 1 major holiday per year. Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through either PTCB or NHA in order to be considered. Must have a TN Pharmacy Technician License within 90 days of employment.

• Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician through either PTCB or NHA in order to be considered.
• Must have a TN Pharmacy Technician License within 90 days of employment.
• Graduate of an approved discipline specific program
• Relevant Work Experience Experience Level : Less than 1 year

Responsibilities

• Assists the pharmacist in the preparation, dispensing and/or distribution of IV medications.
• Applies departmental processes regarding inventory control.
• Performs activities as directed by Pharmacists and/or Pharmacy Managers in accordance with federal, state and local laws/regulations and hospital policies.
• Delivers outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers.
• Operates computer systems and utilizes technology.
