About The Position

Join a mission-driven team that is transforming the lives of children and adolescents across Montgomery County! Child and Family Focus is seeking a part-time Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality clinical care in our Outpatient program. The Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) delivers high-quality clinical care to both children and young adults in an outpatient office setting. As a collaborative member of the healthcare team, the role also requires a strong degree of independence and autonomy. The ideal candidate is able to tailor clinical approaches to meet the unique needs of each individual. This position is 16-20 hours per week, with flexible scheduling, Monday through Friday. Some evening hours are required 2-3 nights per week.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Nursing
  • Board Certified as PMHCNS-BC or PMHNP-BC with specialty as Clinical Nurse Specialist in Child and Adolescent MH Nursing or Family Psychiatric and MH Nurse Practitioner
  • Current and unrestricted DEA in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
  • Nursing Licensure as required for advanced practice nursing in PA
  • Valid PROMISE number with PA

Nice To Haves

  • Credentialed with PA medical assistance, Magellan Behavioral Health and commercial insurance carriers
  • Experience navigating and utilizing EMR
  • Experience with Managed Care Organizations including commercial entities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Psychiatric Evaluations
  • Medication Management
  • Clinical documentation (as required by State Regulations and Managed Care Organizations)
  • Participate in monthly clinical supervision with Psychiatrist
  • Work as integral part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Collaborate with Outpatient Director, Administrative staff and Clinical Teams
  • Communicate with clients, families, peers, and community representatives
  • Utilize EMR as needed for case activity
  • Maintain charts and document case activity through progress notes and other program specific paperwork by typing or handwriting
  • Complete administrative tasks including documentation, answering urgent patient calls, sending prescriptions and lab slips, required documentation requests from patients
  • Attend agency wide staff meetings and trainings as required
