Requirements
- Education High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Must have graduated from an accredited school for Surgical Technologist or have had appropriate training for the position or have training as a first assistant through an accredited training program.
- Licenses Must have current State of Colorado Surgical Technologist license in good standing.
- Certifications Must have current BLS, Certification as Surgical Technologist and Frist Assist preferred
- Experience 1-2 years related experience required

Responsibilities
- Responsible for set up sterile operating table with instruments, supplies, equipment and medications/solutions necessary for the procedure, anticipating surgeon’s needs.
- Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
- Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
- Prepare patient for surgery, assist with transferring patient to operating table.
- Assist surgery staff with donning gowns and gloves, following organizational procedures.
- Pass desired instruments, holding retractors, etc. to surgeon as requested
- Assist in draping the sterile field.
- Scrub for all types of surgeries, following organizational procedures.
- Perform appropriate counts with circulator prior to the procedure and before any incisions are closed
- Maintain highest standard of sterile technique during procedure and prepares sterile dressings.
- Clean and prepare instruments for sterilization.
- Other job related duties as assigned.
