About The Position

At MilliporeSigma in Cleveland, we are seeking a cGMP End to End Buyer/Planner to execute replenishment planning for cGMP products to support global distribution center demand. This includes procurement, packaging and shipment of product. Maintain appropriate safety stock levels in distribution center and review purchase requisitions and create purchase orders in compliance with purchasing policy. Adhere to corporate purchasing plan in alignment with corporate strategy and objectives. Work as liaison between supplier and local site and review details of order confirmations such as prices and delivery dates. Ensure proper documentation is available to process procured material through quality systems. Cooperate with financial departments and business stakeholders to facilitate payments to vendors and review potential discrepancies. Partner with warehouse to ensure timely receipts and resolve system issues. Support supply chain optimization to ensure correct tradeoffs are taken to support customer demand. Independently break down tasks, identify resources to assist in solution, and coordinate activities. Compiles reports and metrics to ensure the business has proper feedback on performance to objectives metrics as needed Manage and assist in department change controls as needed. Challenge and update SAP forecasts to allow for proper system messaging. Make recommendations regarding Master Data reorder points, order quantities, safety stock to support economic order quantities to drive system messages. Support & willingness to develop improved supply chain processes, leading to tangible results and time savings. Proactive review of procurement trends to identify proper ordering patterns. Partner with planning department to communicate and minimize supply disruptions.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of supply chain, procurement or purchasing
  • 2+ years of experience working with an ERP system
  • 1 + years’ experience with Excel using advanced spreadsheet skills
