About The Position

The Channel Development Representative is responsible for developing and supporting Advantech’s sales channel through authorized distribution partners to increase market penetration and drive sustainable growth. This role blends sales support, partner development, and marketing execution, working closely with distributors to generate demand, support opportunities, and ensure a high level of partner engagement and customer satisfaction. In this position, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to execute channel initiatives, support lead generation campaigns, and monitor channel performance to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in account management, channel sales, or partner-facing roles.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with partner stakeholders, including senior leadership and executives.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Customer-focused mindset with attention to service quality and partner satisfaction.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience working within a multi-tier distribution or reseller model.
  • Exposure to marketing and lead generation activities, including eDM or campaign management.
  • Experience organizing or leading meetings, trainings, or partner enablement sessions.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Project management experience or the ability to coordinate cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Define drive revenue growth through assigned distribution and reseller partners while supporting Advantech’s overall channel strategy.
  • Support Territory Sales in managing pipeline activity, design wins, and monthly funnel reviews.
  • Plan and execute partner-led lead generation and marketing activities in collaboration with distributors and the Advantech Marketing team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor sales, management, and support teams.
  • Coordinate sales, product, and technical training to enable partner success.
  • Monitor partner performance, inventory levels, and sell-through trends, providing recommendations to improve results.
  • Maintain accurate channel data, registrations, and reporting within CRM and internal systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve pricing, order, and fulfillment issues and support ongoing channel initiatives.
