About The Position
The Chapel Choir Cantor is responsible for leading the assembly in singing hymns during Masses and other university liturgies and services, both in the Chapel of Christ the Teacher and across campus in other spaces.
Requirements
- Must be able to read music.
- Must be able to learn music and hymns on a rapid basis.
- Must demonstrate strong organizational skills.
- Must be a self-starter.
- Must demonstrate strong communication skills.
- Must have a familiarity with, desire to learn, and reverence for the Roman Catholic Mass.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of cantor experience either in school or parish settings.
- Formal voice training.
