About The Position

Shady Grove Medical Center seeks to hire a Charge/Lead Housekeeper who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. As a Charge/ Lead Housekeeper, you will: • Interact daily with patients, public and employees to receive and/or provide information. Assists management team with supervision of the housekeeping staff. • Assist with department QI initiates. • Participate in appropriate housekeeping processes and procedures. • Maintain departmental housekeeping supplies. • Communicate any issues in a manner consistent with our values. • Provide a clean environment for all patients, public and employees at Shady Grove Adventist Healthcare. • Access to Non-Pharmacy medication areas in accordance with the Policy#101-01-180 Security of Medications in Non-Pharmacy Areas. • Ensure infection control protocols are followed in daily cleans, discharges/transfers and ancillary areas, by following our Eight Step Cleaning Procedures.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma/GED or relevant experience
  • 3 plus years of relevant experience. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to monitor assigned areas for necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Basic arithmetic skills in order to maintain linen count
