About The Position

Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services. The Admit Recovery Unit is a supportive, collaborative team that provides superior patient care, in a highly skilled, fast paced environment. The ARU team is responsible for pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure recovery of invasive cardiology patients, receiving clinically advanced, lifesaving Cardiac Cath, interventional Radiology and Electrophysiology procedures. ARU is open Monday-Friday from 6-8:30pm and the team works 3×12-hour shifts. There are no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call hours.

Requirements

• Graduate from a nursing program Required
• 1 year of nursing experience in a hospital setting Required
• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Required
• BLS - Basic Life Support Required
• ACLS Certification (Cardiac Tele, Critical Care, Surgical Services including Labor and Delivery) Required

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
• 2 years or more years of nursing experience in a hospital setting Preferred
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the delivery of quality nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle, as well as operational issues during his/her shift.
• Provides clinical care as needed when census demands.
• Communicates patient care, departmental issues, and staff concerns to the appropriate leader(s).
• Serves as resource for guidance and assistance to the staff.
