About The Position

The Charge Nurse is an experienced RN with in-depth knowledge and understanding
of providing and overseeing nursing care to critical patients in the
Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit to patients. This position requires the
ability to impact care in a variety of settings. This position fulfills the
roles of clinician, mentor, and educator. This position manages the coordination
of patient care throughout the critical care services division. Responsibilities
include, but are not limited to, directing and overseeing the daily activities
of the unit and is responsible and accountable for directing and facilitating
the flow of patient care activities of the department/area. This position
provides care and education for the patients based on their illness, symptoms,
and courses of treatment. This position manages individualized, goal-directed
nursing care through use of the nursing process and the principles of primary
nursing in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Experienced RN
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of providing and overseeing nursing care to critical patients in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
• Ability to impact care in a variety of settings
