Requirements

Registered Nurse from an accredited school of professional nursing
Current Multistate Compact RN License
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
Comply with regulatory requirements, guidelines, and organizational policies
Strong clinical judgment and ability to manage multiple workflows in a fast-paced virtual environment
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including remote communication technologies

Nice To Haves

Minimum of 3-5 years of inpatient or acute care nursing experience
Prior charge nurse, virtual nursing, or telehealth experience
Experience supporting remote patient monitoring or virtual observation programs
Proficiency in EMR systems and multiple virtual care and monitoring platforms

Responsibilities

The Virtual Care Charge Nurse provides real-time coordination and administration for the Virtual Care Program.
This role serves as the primary escalation point for virtual nurses, virtual PSAs (Patient Safety Attendants), and Surveillance Monitoring Staff.
Using multiple virtual care and monitoring platforms, the Virtual Care Charge Nurse oversees staffing, workflow prioritization, and patient safety escalations to support safe, efficient, and compliant virtual care delivery across assigned departments.
