About The Position

Ensure the highest level of resident and guest satisfaction by offering prompt, professional, courteous, and dedicated services. Actively contribute to the department to complete tasks, meet goals, or manage projects. Overall, this position is responsible for and dedicated to providing recognition, satisfaction, and value to the residents and their guests, while continuously improving efficiency, accuracy, productivity, and service standards.

Requirements

  • Proven supervisory experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Sous Chef role or similar supervisory role.
  • Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in upscale dining environments.
  • Skilled in inventory management, food safety protocols, and food handling procedures.
  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams and manage shift operations effectively. Possess a positive attitude, work well with others, be trustworthy, especially in confidential matters and be well organized and efficient
  • Be able to reach, bend, and frequently lift to 50 pounds.
  • Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
  • Reliable, consistent work attendance is a requirement and essential function of this position.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain an in-depth familiarity with the kitchen's operations so that they may fill in for the Executive Chef when needed.
  • Assist in cooking and food preparation as required.
  • Oversee the kitchen while also hands on working with staff.
  • Review weekly reports with Executive Chef to analyze food cost and take corrective action.
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment by following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures while upholding health code compliance.
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining a positive and professional working culture.
  • Stays up to date on current food and industry trends locally and nationally.
