Trump Winery is seeking a skilled, passionate Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. From the casual charm of the Cidery Tasting Room to the elegance of the Grand Hall and the refined Albemarle Estate, you’ll help craft memorable experiences in every setting. Position Title: Chef de Partie Location: Trump Cidery in Charlottesville, VA - 15 minutes south of Charlottesville city limits, 20 minutes north of Scottsville Hours: Full-Time - on-site, non-exempt, regularly scheduled 40 hours/week. Variable weekly schedule. No late nights! Requirements

  • Culinary arts certificate preferred
  • 5+ years of professional culinary experience in a full-service restaurant kitchen
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary arts, kitchen sanitization
  • Must be able to work weekends and some holidays
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Positive, professional, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Self-directed, motivated, independent, and able to take direction; “can do” attitude
  • Outstanding customer service; sincere desire to create a memorable guest experience; handle pressure gracefully; commitment to excellence and high standards

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing ingredients for services, assembling dishes according to recipes and specifications, developing specials, and new menu items
  • Assist with product and menu production, sourcing, and utilizing ingredient usage to maintain food costs at an acceptable margin
  • Ensure food is prepared and served according to appropriate time levels; during busy moments, utilize tools and practices to ensure the service is timely
  • Support the Executive Chef by ensuring high standards of sanitation, cleanliness, and safety are maintained throughout all kitchen areas at all times
  • Will cook for Albemarle Estate at Trump Winery, Tasting Room, and Events when needed
  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
  • Clean up the station and take care of leftover food
  • Receive and stock inventory appropriately; follow FIFO and product rotation to minimize spoilage and waste
  • Place orders with vendors when directed by the Executive Chef or the Director of Operations
