About The Position

ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Church of Christ. This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU. ‌ Scope: A. Works as directed by the Director of Landscape and Grounds B. Chemically treat all weeds and fertilizes all areas of campus. C. Chemically treat buildings for insects. D. Continue to train and develop to the highest levels and degrees. Essential duties include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions.

Requirements

• Skilled in equipment operations.
• Computer operations
• High School Education or GED
• Licensed Pest Control Applicator
• Valid U.S. drivers license
• Honest and responsible
• Good moral character
• Neat and clean
• Good health: able to work in extreme heat and cold
• Must be able to climb a ladder
• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Follow established rules and guidelines established by Landscape and Grounds.
• Order matereials and supplies for the completion of daily tasks.
• Fill out work orders and written documentation.
• Be on call 24 hours a day.
• Help to establish and improve a chemical program.
• Display initiative to work by one's self or in groups.
• Must come in and assist with ice melt or other inclement weather issues.
• Do routine maintaince of all chemical equipment.
• Build relationships with other team members and be willing to assist in other tasks in the sense of teamwork.
