About The Position

The Chemical Operator Level 1 is responsible for accurately packaging, labeling, and preparing products for shipment in a fast‑paced environment. This role ensures documentation and inventory transactions are precise, packaging equipment operates reliably, and orders are completed safely, on time, and to quality standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, operational troubleshooting skills, and working proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, stage, and package products according to work orders, SOPs, and quality standards.
  • Apply labels, lot codes, and documentation accurately; verify counts, weights, and dimensions.
  • Assemble boxes, pallets, and protective materials to prevent in‑transit damage.
  • Complete all required paperwork and system entries with 100% accuracy (e.g., pick tickets, packing lists, BOLs, lot tracking, counts).
  • Reconcile discrepancies, escalate issues, and maintain audit‑ready records.
  • Set up, operate, and perform basic troubleshooting on packaging lines/equipment (e.g., sealers, printers, scales, tapers, stretch wrappers).
  • Identify and resolve common issues (jams, feed/print errors, mislabels) and request maintenance support when needed.
  • Conduct basic changeovers and preventative checks per SOPs.
  • Perform cycle counts and support inventory accuracy, including real‑time adjustments and variance investigations.
  • Maintain proper FIFO/FEFO practices and lot traceability.
  • Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and ergonomic best practices.
  • Inspect materials and finished packages for defects; segregate nonconforming product and document per quality processes.
  • Keep work areas clean and organized (5S/lean principles).
  • Use warehouse systems (WMS/ERP/scales/printers) for transactions and labeling.
  • Use Microsoft Excel for counts, simple trackers, logs, and reconciliations (sorting, filtering, basic formulas).
