Other duties may be assigned. Monitor, control, and optimize aerospace chemical processing solutions using quantitative and qualitative chemical analysis to maintain process stability and product conformity. Perform routine and investigative bath chemistry testing (titrations, pH, concentration verification, contamination checks) to ensure solutions remain within specification. Analyze process performance data and lab results to evaluate process capability, identify trends, and implement corrective actions to prevent defects and rework. Develop and improve process control plans, analytical methods, and chemical formulas to support improved throughput, quality, and cost reduction. Troubleshoot chemical processing issues including out-of-spec baths, coating performance failures, and equipment malfunctions using structured root cause analysis and corrective action methodology. Support process qualification and sustainment by executing and documenting required mechanical and performance testing, including tensile testing, wedge crack testing, humidity exposure, and compression testing. Write and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, control plans, and technical reports in accordance with NADCAP and internal quality requirements. Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instrumentation including pH meters, analytical balances, humidity chambers, and mechanical testing systems. Maintain and control laboratory records, test data, and process documentation to support NADCAP audits, customer requirements, and AS9100 compliance. Coordinate chemical inventory management and ensure required standards, supplies, and reagents are maintained for uninterrupted production support.
