About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Chemical Process Operator to join our chemical processing team in the manufacturing of high-precision X-ray tubes. In this hands-on role, you will perform critical wet processing operations—including cleaning, degreasing, surface preparation, coating, and plating of components—to ensure parts meet strict quality standards for final assembly. This position involves working directly with hazardous chemicals in a controlled industrial environment, following precise procedures to support production goals while prioritizing safety and quality. 4-10's Thursday -Sunday 6:30-3PM with a 15% differential

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, chemical processing, plating, coating, or wet lab environment is preferred.
  • Comfortable working hands-on with hazardous chemicals and in environments requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions, safety data sheets (SDS), and technical documentation.
  • Basic computer literacy for data entry, system navigation, and communication (e.g., email, production software).
  • Physically capable of standing for long periods, performing detailed manual work with hands, and lifting up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively in a team-oriented production setting.

Responsibilities

  • Perform chemical processing operations including degreasing, cleaning, surface preparation, coating, and plating of metal and component parts for X-ray tube assembly.
  • Handle, mix, and apply chemicals according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Load, unload, and transport parts through various process stations while accurately tracking progress in our manufacturing system.
  • Inspect parts visually and per documentation for quality and defects at each stage of processing.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of waste materials in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
  • Wear and properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times, including safety goggles, chemical-resistant gloves, safety shoes, hearing protection, and other gear as specified.
  • Follow all safety protocols, hazard communication standards, and emergency procedures when working with or around hazardous chemicals.
  • Read, understand, and follow technical documentation, batch records, routers, and process specifications.
  • Use computer systems to log production data, move parts in the inventory/tracking system, and communicate with team members and supervisors.
  • Lift and handle parts weighing 5–10 lbs frequently and up to 25 lbs occasionally.
  • Stand and perform repetitive manual tasks for extended periods (full shift).
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production targets and quality requirements.
  • Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or process deviations to supervision immediately.
