Responsible for routine testing of production and environmental samples, routine maintenance and calibration of equipment, and test method validation. Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in a science field required; B.S. in Chemistry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine analytical testing of production and environmental samples using standard QA/QC methods.
• Record, interpret, and report test data, including generating Certificates of Analysis.
• Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and manage routine lab supplies, gas systems, and housekeeping.
• Train new lab personnel on methods, instruments, and procedures.
• Support ISO and other certification requirements; identify and recommend improvements to lab procedures.
• Work a rotating shift as the sole chemist on shift and perform routine safety inspections.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Laboratory Supervisor.
