Join our team as a Chemo Infusion Registered Nurse where your expertise in patient education and infusion therapy truly makes a difference. In this role, you will bring your specialized knowledge to assess patient needs, deliver high quality care, and collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team to create meaningful outcomes for every patient you serve. What You'll Do You will provide both direct and indirect patient care, always keeping safety, effectiveness, and cost in mind. Your day to day will include administering chemotherapy, blood products, fluids, and other prescribed treatments for both oncology and non oncology patients. You will initiate and manage infusion therapy through IVs and other devices, including care involving peripherally inserted central catheters. You will play a key role in developing, implementing, monitoring, and adjusting individualized care plans in partnership with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team. Education is a big part of this role. You will guide patients and their families through treatments, answer questions, and serve as a trusted resource for students, staff, and the community. You will also support the growth of your peers through both formal and informal teaching, using adult learning principles to share your knowledge. You will conduct comprehensive assessments that consider physical, psychological, and environmental factors, while evaluating patient independence and needs. Using critical thinking, you will analyze data to determine nursing diagnoses and contribute to interdisciplinary care planning. You will collaborate with the healthcare team and patients to coordinate infusion schedules and ensure seamless care delivery. Quality and safety are at the core of what you do. You will actively participate in continuous quality improvement efforts, promote a culture of safety and inclusion, and ensure care is appropriate for each patient’s age and unique needs. You will consistently demonstrate professionalism, compassion, and a helpful attitude in every interaction with patients, families, and colleagues. In this role, you will stay current with all applicable regulations, standards, and guidelines, while maintaining full compliance with organizational policies, including the Corporate Compliance Plan and Code of Conduct. You will participate in required training and support compliance initiatives as directed by leadership.
