About The Position

HPE is hiring a Chief Architect/Fellow to shape the strategic technical vision for GreenLake’s Private Cloud portfolio. You will lead the design and delivery of enterprise-scale, cloud-native SaaS and platform solutions, driving automation, reliability, and innovation across hybrid environments. If you’re a seasoned leader with deep IaaS/PaaS, cloud-native expertise, and a passion for mentoring teams and guiding strategy, this is a uniquely impactful opportunity. This position can be based anywhere in the United States.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in IT with proven leadership in transitioning product organizations to as-a-Service models.
  • Deep experience architecting, building, and operating large-scale, distributed SaaS and cloud-native solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of IaaS/PaaS (OpenStack, AWS, Azure, VMware, etc.), Kubernetes and CNCF ecosystem, automation, CI/CD, networking, and security.
  • Expertise in resiliency patterns, failure modes, capacity management, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, communication, stakeholder management, and executive-level influencing skills.
  • Proven track record working across large product organizations and global teams.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive architecture for complex, enterprise-scale private cloud products, platforms, and services.
  • Lead engineering/SRE collaboration to maximize availability, security, stability, performance, and capacity planning.
  • Promote reliability through automation, simplification, observability, root-cause analysis, and SRE metrics.
  • Coordinate across infrastructure, platform, and application teams and with peer chief architects to improve KPIs and delivery.
  • Guide R&D on EOL, framework modernization, and investment priorities.
  • Research and recommend emerging technologies and shape multi-year regional/global strategies and governance.
  • Mentor and lead the technical community, influencing technical culture and best practices.
