About The Position

You will be the Chief Engineer (Principal) – Avionics & Open Mission Systems for the Avionics & Open Mission Systems team which is responsible for advanced avionics and mission system development. What You Will Be Doing As the Chief Engineer (Principal) – Avionics & Open Mission Systems you will be responsible for providing architectural integrity, engineering governance, and lifecycle technical oversight across development, integration, certification, and sustainment. Your responsibilities will include: Serve as the Chief Technical Authority for avionics and mission systems. Define and maintain architectures aligned with OMS, MOSA, SOSA, and AMS‑GRA. Establish engineering governance, baselines, and risk management processes. Chair or support technical reviews such as SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR. Oversee avionics integration, qualification, and certification activities. Requirements

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Master’s preferred).
12+ years of avionics engineering experience.
Experienced Lead Systems Engineer, or Principal Engineer.
Demonstrated knowledge of OMS, MOSA, SOSA, and/or AMS-GRA.
Strong technical leadership and communication skills.
