About The Position

About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 14 The Role: Chief of Staff to the Chief Client Officer Team: The Chief Client Office (CCO) proactively engages customers, industry groups and key stakeholders to create measurable value for S&P Global and better customer experience. Within the CCO organization, the Client Coverage team accelerates growth through strategic partnership with key accounts. The team drives cross-functional collaboration and alignment to deliver holistic solutions, drive long-term engagements, and maximize customer success. Impact: The Chief of Staff will work directly with the Chief Client Officer, supporting the overall effectiveness and organization of the CCO. The role is pivotal in driving strategic initiatives for the Chief Client Officer and requires a combination of strong project management skills and collaboration across the CCO and S&P Global.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in financial services, professional services, or related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in developing and implementing strategic initiatives and financial analysis.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership in the industry across multiple channels, with experience in strategic activities and/or program management and leading cross-functional projects.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and problem-solving abilities, with proven experience in prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Values in person connections and is able to build strong relationships by networking with colleagues and leading through influence.
  • Must be in reasonable distance of the London/New York City Office location.
  • Role will be required to be in office at least 2 days per week and more if required by CCO.

Responsibilities

  • Plan Internal/External meetings to meet specific objectives, eg. Engagement, Client Networking, Board Prep
  • Identify priorities within the agenda
  • Work with across the CCO, internal partners or external outreach
  • Work closely with CCO EA on the details, as appropriate
  • Coordinate across partners to ensure all pre-materials created and prepared in advance and in high-quality, valuable format.
  • In partnership with Corporate Communications, prioritize high impact internal and external speaking invitations and engagements aligned with the CCO and S&P Global’s strategic goals.
  • Make firm strategic recommendations to the CCO and be clear on what’s important and why – what will the engagement support or lead to or what will it enhance.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications to establish and align on an internal/people-focused Communications program for the CCO (i.e. videos, podcasts, postings, quarterly town halls, S&P 200, ELT office visits, etc.) to strengthen connections between him and the rest of the organization.
  • Assist to enhance CCO’s brand.
  • Manage the operations for key meetings – ELT, CCO LT and Board
  • Manage the schedule for all CCO presentations to ELT
  • “Project manage” material review and submissions and manage a calendar (creating due dates, interim socialization milestones, etc)
  • Partner with CCO EA on ensuring all materials are submitted by the due dates
  • Manage LT agenda, especially looking forward and pre-planning
  • Coordinate report outs / updates on key CCO Projects. Ensures timelines, objectives, and deliverables are clear and addressed
  • Partner with CCO EA on ensuring all materials are submitted and shared in advance of the LT
  • Partner with various leads to ensure the right people are presenting the material with the appropriate detail
  • Manage offsites including agendas (content, meals, “events”) partnering with Executive Events team
  • Coordinate and orchestrate committed projects
  • Manage a master calendar of all ELT/LT. Keep track of the leaders and keep up to speed on the socialization plan (e.g. when projects will present to ELT, LT, etc)
  • Coordinate CCO travel to various offices
  • Identify local contacts, coordinate visits, organize town halls, partner with People team to identify top talent for meetings and/or roundtables, coordinate and prepare briefings, accompany CCO on major travel, as appropriate
  • Must have a strong understanding of the CCO’s critical role as a senior leader/executive officer at S&P Global and CCO’s contributions to the company’s strategic goals.
  • Must have strong strategic thinking skills (i.e. the ability to tightly and effectively manage the CCO’s calendar and commitments in partnership with her Executive Assistant).
  • Must be a strong tactician to be able to cleanly execute on projects.
  • Lead the development and creation of presentations to ensure consistency, accuracy and polish in articulating the CCO’s vision and mission across different internal and external stakeholders (i.e. Fellow ELT members, Board, S&P 200 and SPGI senior leaders, broader employee base, etc.).
  • Build a strong connection and relationship with the other ELT Chief of Staff community
  • Build a strong rapport with key LT and LT-1 leaders, strategy team, People and Communications team
