About The Position

Jericho Road Community Health Center is actively seeking a Chief Operating & Information Officer. This position is full-time, within the Executive Department, working at all JRCHC locations. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience of progressive leadership experience in health center, hospital, or multi-site ambulatory operations; FQHC experience strongly preferred
  • 3-5 years’experience in an IT leadership or systems role (such as systems administrator, IT manager, IT director), including direct involvement in the day-to-day IT operations of a primary care medical practice
  • Demonstrated success leading operational transformation, technology optimization, and/or system redesign
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, workflows, and multidisciplinary teams in a complex healthcare setting
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with proficiency in operational dashboards, data analytics, and process improvement methodologies
  • Working masteryof FQHC operations, including HRSA compliance, UDS reporting, DOH compliance, and value-based care models
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and change management skills
  • Systems-thinker, data-driven decision maker, rooted in commitment to mission

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of JRCHC clinical and non-clinical locations, ensuring high performance, compliance, and integration across departments
  • Drive operational excellence through implementation of nationally recognized frameworks, such as Lean, Six Sigma, or another continuous improvement methodology
  • Lead development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to access, efficiency, and patient satisfaction
  • Ensure organization-wide monitoring and resiliency of critical systems and applications, establishing proactive alerting and response structures to safeguard availability, performance, and business continuity
  • Develop and execute a strategic technology vision and multi-year roadmap, evaluating current and emerging solutions to strengthen infrastructure, enhance clinical and operational performance, and advance organizational priorities
  • Lead the development and governance of an enterprise data warehouse, integrating clinical, operational, and financial data to enable real-time analytics, performance management, regulatory reporting, and strategic decision-making
  • Lead enterprise EMR transition or optimization efforts, ensuring seamless integration with clinical and operational workflows, effective change management, data integrity, and minimal disruption to patient care and revenue cycle performance
  • Optimizeuse of technology to improve workflows and decision-making
  • Oversee facilities management, capital projects, and safety programs to ensure operational readiness and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate to align operational practices with HRSA, DOH, PCMH, IPA and ACO contracts, and other regulatory standards
  • Evaluate and analyze data related to clinical, financial, cyber security and operational performance, identifying trends and issues, and facilitate the development of timely action plans toward performance improvement
  • Collaborate with the Executive Team to develop transformational strategies for process improvement and guide staff in the effective implementation and execution of improvement tools and methodologies
  • Partner with CEO and Executive Team to develop and execute the strategic plan, with focus on measurable results rooted in mission
  • Translate strategic priorities into objectives and key results with clear accountability
  • Lead or sponsor performance improvement initiatives
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation across departments
  • Mentor and develop managers and directors to strengthen leadership capacity and promote a high-performing team environment
  • Collaborate with external partners, payers, and community organizations to strengthen care delivery and resource coordination
  • Manage staff performance by providing regular feedback, 30, 60,90 dayand annual evaluations
  • Oversee the hiring and training of staff, creating and implementing onboarding plans
  • Approve payroll and staff time off with attention toappropriate scheduling
  • Engage in regular one-on-one meetings with team members and facilitate consistent team meetings to promote alignment, collaboration, and accountability
