About The Position

As our Operational Strategist and true Integrator, you'll be the bridge between vision and execution. You'll partner directly with the founder/CEO to translate strategic vision into operational execution plans that the entire organization can work against. Your role is to connect all the dots across supply chain, inventory, finance, customer experience, and team operations — ensuring that strategy becomes reality through clear execution and operational excellence. This role will free the CEO to focus on innovation (product + AI), sales, and big relationships — while you own the operational engine that makes it all happen.

Requirements

  • Based in Southern California (or willing to relocate — we'll cover costs)
  • Track record scaling operations from mid-high 8 figures to 9 figures and beyond
  • Player-coach mentality — willing to get hands-on when needed
  • Health & Beauty CPG experience is a must
  • Familiar with e-commerce ecosystem (Shopify) and ERP systems (Fulfil.io, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Tech savvy with experience building systems and automation (including AI workflows)
  • Proven ability to translate strategic vision into operational execution plans
  • Strong supply chain and logistics background (Asia manufacturing experience a plus)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage P&L and drive margin improvement

Responsibilities

  • Strategy Translation & Execution Planning:
  • Translate the CEO's strategic vision into clear operational execution plans that each department can work against
  • Connect strategic goals to operational KPIs, budgets, and timelines across all functions
  • Work with the CFO and Controller to break down financial targets into departmental execution plans
  • Ensure alignment between strategy and execution through regular operational reviews and dashboards
  • Operational Leadership:
  • Lead the teams that own day-to-day operations across supply chain, fulfillment, customer service, and quality assurance
  • Build and document SOPs to systematize operations and reduce founder dependency
  • Run operational meetings and drive decisions (with CEO input on major decisions)
  • Drive margin improvement through supplier negotiations, logistics optimization, and process efficiency
  • Support new product launches and development with operational readiness planning
  • Inventory Management & Forecasting
  • Implement inventory management best practices and identify/setup appropriate systems
  • Develop accurate forecasting models and streamline supply-demand balance
  • Analyze inventory to identify overstock/understock issues and optimize stock rotation
  • Customer Experience Operations:
  • Oversee customer experience operations including process optimization, technology implementation, and team development
  • ERP & Systems:
  • Maximize our ERP system (Fulfil.io) through customization, optimization, and integration
  • Build systems and automation to drive operational efficiency (including AI-powered workflows)
  • Cross-Functional Integration:
  • Connect all the dots across departments to ensure everyone is working toward shared goals
  • Improve cross-functional communication and break down silos between teams
  • Lead risk assessment, mitigation planning, and ensure compliance
  • People & Culture:
  • Lead people operations with Chief of Staff: HR issues, and team development for your direct reports
  • Partner with CEO on recruiting strategy and building A-player bench strength
  • Champion company values: think big, proactive problem-solving, fail fast and learn
  • Financial Stewardship:
  • Own operational P&L and EBITDA targets
  • Partner with CFO and Controller on forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis
  • Make data-driven decisions balancing growth investment with profitability
