Parks and Conservation Resources is seeking a Chief Park Ranger to provide a safe, clean and enjoyable experience for patrons visiting Fort De Soto Park. Pinellas County's Parks & Conservation Resources Department is dedicated to protecting and improving the inherent value of our natural, cultural, and recreational resources. The Chief Park Ranger performs administrative, supervisory, direct public contact work, protecting public property by properly interpreting and enforcing rules and regulations in the operation of Fort De Soto Park. Work includes supervising Park employees, overseeing the general maintenance of park buildings, grounds, and amenities, and responding to patron inquiries. An incumbent in this classification works at a high performance level with minimum supervision and exercises a high degree of independent judgement in resolving problems. Employees in this class report to a Park Manager within the Parks & Conservation Resources (PCR) Department. This Chief Park Ranger position is located at: Fort De Soto Park, 3500 Pinellas Bayway South, Tierra Verde, FL 33175. Work Schedule: Wednesday - Saturday; 10-hours days; 4-days a week.
