About The Position

The Texas Democratic Party is seeking an experienced Chief Party Services Officer to lead the party in providing training and resources to SDEC Members, County Chairs, Precinct Chairs, and other stakeholders in order to build long lasting infrastructure in the state. The Chief Party Services Officer should be a skilled manager, creative thinker, solutions-oriented, and capable of motivating diverse volunteers and activists. The Chief Party Services Officer will report to the Executive Director. This is a full-time, in-person position in Dallas, Texas.

Requirements

  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically with diverse stakeholders, including elected officials, volunteers, and grassroots activists.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaboration, active listening, and team leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with email, calling, and texting programs.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to clearly communicate expectations, priorities, and goals to staff and volunteers.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficiency with standard office and productivity software (e.g., spreadsheets, document creation, presentations).
  • At least two election cycles of experience working in or with a party executive committee.
  • Access to a vehicle, laptop, and cellphone.
  • Keen sense of humor.
  • Ability to travel up to 35 percent of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a statewide organizing and support strategy, coordinating staff and resources to recruit, engage, and support Precinct Chairs and local party leaders across Texas.
  • Collaborate with Texas Democratic Party staff to build and maintain support structures that strengthen organizing and party operations.
  • Serve as a spokesperson for Party Services initiatives, including presentations, trainings, and testimony as needed.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships and coalitions with diverse constituencies and aligned organizations.
  • Strengthen communications, particularly internal, including digital engagement, email communications, and stakeholder responsiveness.
  • Lead and manage a geographically distributed, statewide team responsible for delivering training, operational support, and customer service to party leaders at every level. Establish clear goals, accountability systems, and performance standards to ensure consistent and effective support across Texas.
  • Serve as the staff expert on Party Business, including guidance on CEC meetings and conventions.
  • Ensure appropriate staff is liaising with SDEC committees as needed and ensure proper coordination across party structures.
  • Seek consultation, collaboration, and approval from appropriate staff and leadership depending on Party Business needs.
  • Support coalition and cross-departmental efforts as assigned.
