Dartmouth Health's Department of Psychiatry seeks a child and adolescent Psychiatrist as part of the treatment team for a new adolescent inpatient psychiatry unit at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, located in Bennington, VT. In this role, you will provide state-of-the-art acute psychiatric and substance related disorder care for adolescents aged 12-17. The inpatient unit will include an experienced team of psychiatric nurse practitioners, social workers, therapists, psychiatrists, and medical providers to deliver high-quality care. This position is scheduled as a hospitalist model with some night and weekend coverage included in the basic schedule as well as generous vacation and conference time allowances. The ideal candidate will be a skilled clinician with strong interest in working in an inpatient setting. Candidates should be board certified (or eligible) in Psychiatry and Child Psychiatry. Opportunities to teach in didactic or other supervisory settings in the child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship or psychiatry residency at Dartmouth are available. Academic rank at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and salary will be commensurate with experience.
