Under the supervision of the Director of Children & Youth Services, the Program Administrator is responsible for the day-to-day operations, monitoring, and supervision of the After All program. The Program Administrator (in conjunction with the Childcare Center Director) is responsible for the safety of the children, staff and all persons at the centers while demonstrating best practices in our inclusive programs. The Program Administrator is responsible for developing, maintaining and evaluating the educational component of the After All program. The role can be done on a job sharing basis. However, work hours of 10 or lesser hours/week will not be eligible for the part time benefits.

Requirements

  • Director qualified of a licensed MSDE childcare center or meet qualifications within a year, plus a Masters’ degree in any field plus three years of relevant professional experience; or bachelor’s degree in any field plus five years of relevant professional experience; Three years of experience must be at a supervisory level.
  • Must meet childcare regulations;
  • Must communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and monitor educational program for After All and provide assistance to the Childcare Center Director
  • Monitor development and implementation of the educational curriculum.
  • Coordinate annual children’s individual plans, bi-monthly personal daily care plans, and parent conferences.
  • Observe classroom activities to ensure staff’s adherence to program philosophy, policies and goals are being followed.
  • Purchase supplies needed for the educational program and nutritional program.
  • Monitor and maintain appropriate staff to student ratios and provide classroom support as needed. It is understood that the Program Administrator will work in the classrooms at both After All from time to time to model appropriate interactions with students, assist as needed, and give teachers daily breaks.
  • Recruit, hire, train and evaluate childcare employees for the After All program.
  • Coordinate placement of children entering and exiting the After All program.
  • Maintain internal controls by assisting the Director of Children & Youth Services and Childcare Center Director in the following areas:
  • Knowledge of the budgeting and grant management process to sufficiently substitute for the Director of Children & Youth Services as needed.
  • Develop and implement programs and policies at After All.
  • Establish, implement, and maintain procedures for building cleanliness or other duties as deemed necessary.
  • Establish and maintain procedures for personnel and building security, including HIPAA compliance.
  • Coordinate building safety and security, including supervising emergency evacuations, managing emergency supplies and procedures.
  • Provide direct supervision to:
  • Group Aide and Substitute Group Aides
  • Group Leader
  • Program Coordinator
  • Teacher Assistants and Substitute Teacher Assistants as delegated by the Childcare Center Director.
  • Because of the above duties, the Program Administrator will be available to take calls regarding staff that are unexpectedly out and cannot come to work and arranging for appropriate coverage.
  • Work cooperatively with Director of Children & Youth Services to monitor grants, specifically:
  • Reporting requirements
  • Site visits
  • Progress meetings
