About The Position
Minnetonka Community Education is seeking energetic and creative staff to join our Explorers Summer school-age child care program. As a Child Care Assistant, you will supervise and engage with children in grades K-5. If you are passionate about our mission to help all students envision and pursue their highest aspirations while serving the greater good, we encourage you to apply.
Requirements
- Age 18 or older.
- HS Diploma or GED.
- No prior child care experience is required, but must have an interest in working with children.
- Ability to follow directions from supervisors and work collaboratively with team members.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities for children.
- Ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for children.
- Set up and clean up classroom activities.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
