About The Position

Lead Teachers at The Learning Experience Rivercrest are trained and have a high expectation to provide premiere care to our little learners aged 6 weeks to 6 years. Our passionate teachers use a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (required)
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality ( critical for this role )
  • Ability to work Monday–Friday, full-time schedule
  • Comfortable being active: standing, bending, lifting up to 40 lbs, and sitting on the floor
  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Must meet Florida DCF Early Learning/Child Care Licensing requirements, including: Completion of a state-approved 45-hour introductory child care training, National or FL CDA or Formal Education Completion of additional annual in-service training hours as required by DCF
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification
  • Must pass background screenings , including Level 2 background check, fingerprinting, and drug screening

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
  • Responsible for overall classroom management, leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment.
  • Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning
  • Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, working with Infant and Toddler children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
  • Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
  • Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
  • Support your center’s success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement.
  • Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
  • Ability to move, lift, and assist children (e.g., up to 40 lbs).
