About The Position

Center for Human Development, Inc. is seeking a full-time Child Case Manager to provide case management services to students K-12 in a school setting (schools include Imbler, Elgin and Union School Based Health Center, may also support CHD main clients as needed). Duties include supporting completion of intake packets with parents/guardians, facilitating groups, coaching and mentoring in pro-social activities, life skills, communication, problem solving, and behavioral management. This position also functions as a resource brokerage and helps connect students and families to necessary resources within the community such as food, clothing, healthcare, and other identified needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with trainings in human development, human services or; a combination of at least three year's relevant work, education, training or experience in a mental health field with approval from Mental Health Director to qualify as a QMHA.
  • Ability to understand and implement instructional methods while demonstrating flexibility, creativity and autonomy.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely records.
  • Ability to work with team, other professionals and lay persons.
  • Willingness to learn through in-service and outside trainings.
  • Knowledge of interviewing and counseling / treatment techniques.
  • Knowledge of parenting skills / interventions.
  • Knowledge of ADHD and other child behavior disorders.
  • Good understanding of child development.
  • Ability to apply behavior management skills.
  • Familiarity with community resources for client and family needs.
  • General demonstrated ability to cooperate, coordinate and accept supervision.
  • Must possess a valid Oregon Driver’s license and be insurable for client service purposes, travel between business offices, and to attend required meeting and/or training.
  • Must pass all criminal history check requirements as required by ORS 181.536-181.537 and in accordance with OAR 407-007-0200-407-007-0370 and drug screening.
