About The Position
Child Development Aide Full Time, First Shift – 8:30am-5pm This position exists to aid the lead teacher in providing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that will meet the children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Fifteen (15) hours annual training as approved by Cabinet for Human Resources standard for Childcare Centers required post-hire
Nice To Haves
- 1-3 years’ experience in a structured setting
Responsibilities
- Assist in during mealtimes, make meals a pleasant learning experience, and model good health practices.
- Sanitize indoor and outdoor areas as needed to provide a safe environment, keeping the rooms neat, cheerful, and interesting.
- Assist in planning, preparing, and implementing the curriculum.
- Assist in providing opportunities to help develop children’s understanding of concepts and ideas.
